The Association F/SOS – Fotografia, Solidariedade e Obras Sociais is pleased to announce that the project F/262 – Festival Internacional de Fotografia – 2026 has been officially recognised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport of Portugal as a project of Cultural Interest for the purposes of Cultural Patronage (Mecenato Cultural).

The declaration was issued by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Margarida Balseiro Lopes, under Article 62.º-B of the Portuguese Tax Benefits Statute, confirming the cultural interest of the F/262 festival and its eligibility to receive support within the framework of the Portuguese Cultural Patronage regime. This recognition allows eligible donors to benefit from the fiscal incentives provided for cultural patronage in Portugal. <FileCite ref_id=”turn11file0″/>

This is an important institutional milestone for both the festival and the Association F/SOS. It acknowledges the cultural relevance of the project and reinforces its credibility as a long-term initiative dedicated to contemporary photography, visual culture, education, sustainability, social inclusion and international cooperation.

Organised by Association F/SOS, the F/262 Festival Internacional de Fotografia aims to establish itself as an international platform for artistic creation, critical reflection and community engagement through photography. The 2026 edition will bring together photographers, artists, curators, researchers, educators and local communities through exhibitions, talks, workshops, educational programmes, environmental initiatives and socially engaged projects.

This recognition also opens new opportunities for collaboration with companies, foundations and individual supporters who wish to contribute to the development of the festival through Cultural Patronage.
