F/262 Featured in Event Point

We are delighted to share that the F/262 – Festival Internacional de Fotografia has been featured in Event Point, one of Portugal’s leading publications dedicated to the events industry. The interview highlights the festival’s commitment to sustainability, social impact, community engagement, and the role of photography as a tool for positive change.

In the article, João Carlos, Director and Curator of F/262, discusses how the festival was designed from the outset with sustainability at its core. From circular economy initiatives and environmental awareness projects to educational programs and community participation, the festival aims to demonstrate how culture can actively contribute to a more responsible and inclusive future.

The feature also showcases several of the festival’s flagship initiatives, including the F/262 Circular Culture Lab, the “Cuidar as Margens” environmental actions, and Importa – Portraits of Territory and Memory, reinforcing the festival’s vision of connecting photography, territory, heritage, and social responsibility.

This recognition reflects the growing interest in cultural projects that combine artistic excellence with meaningful environmental and social action. We thank Event Point for the opportunity to share our mission and help amplify the conversations that matter.

As the festival continues through September, we look forward to welcoming audiences, partners, artists, and communities to join us in building a more sustainable and engaged cultural landscape.
