Difference Matters is an exhibition built on a simple but essential idea: difference has value and deserves to be seen with dignity, respect, and care.
Through carefully crafted portraits, the exhibition challenges the stigmas often associated with disability and difference. It invites viewers to look beyond labels and assumptions, offering a direct encounter with each person portrayed, not as an exception, but as a full and present individual.
This project is grounded in the belief that inclusion goes beyond acceptance. To include is to recognise, and recognition has the power to transform how we see others and, in turn, how we see ourselves.
Presented at the Museu dos Biscainhos in Braga, the exhibition is part of the ongoing work of ASSOCIAÇÃO F/SOS – Photography, Solidarity, and Social Action, utilising photography as a tool for social impact, dialogue, and cultural change.

Difference Matters does not ask for sympathy. It asks for attention. And attention is the first step toward a more just and inclusive society.
