The F/SOS Association – Photography, Solidarity and Social Action and the F/262 Festival – Contemporary Photography Platform are proud to be part of the 3rd edition of the Circular Economy Pact for the Centro Region, an initiative promoted by CCDR Centro that brings together public and private entities committed to more sustainable, responsible and circular practices.

This step reflects a path we have been building over time. For us, sustainability is not an isolated action or a label, but an ongoing responsibility that shapes how we think, produce and share culture.

Culture and photography as agents of change

As an association and as a festival, we believe culture and photography have a fundamental role in raising awareness, encouraging critical thinking and strengthening the relationship between people, territory and social responsibility. Joining this Pact reinforces that belief and places it within a broader framework of cooperation and shared commitment.

In practical terms, this means continuing to develop cultural projects with greater attention to environmental impact, reinforcing local and regional partnerships, using resources more consciously, and integrating themes such as sustainability, territory, memory and social responsibility into our artistic and educational programmes.

A shared commitment to the territory

Both F/SOS and F/262 are deeply connected to the territory where they operate. Being part of the Circular Economy Pact allows us to work alongside other organisations, institutions and communities, contributing to collective solutions and long-term thinking.

This commitment aligns with our mission to create projects that generate social impact, foster participation and dialogue, and support a more balanced and resilient cultural ecosystem.

Looking ahead

By joining the Circular Economy Pact for the Centro Region, the F/SOS Association and the F/262 Festival reaffirm their commitment to cultural innovation, cooperation and territorial sustainability. We see this as another step toward a future where culture is not only expressive, but also responsible, engaged and actively involved in shaping more conscious ways of living and creating together.
